Fake Upass Products: How to Spot Counterfeit Synthetic Urine

This article exists because we keep hearing the same story: someone buys a box labeled Upass from a gas station, a smoke shop shelf, or a marketplace listing, the product performs wrong, and the complaint lands with us. When we ask for the batch number, there is not one on the box. That is not our product. As the manufacturer, here is the official word on counterfeit and re-labeled Upass, and exactly how to verify what you are holding.

Where fake and re-labeled product shows up

Online, Safeguard Labs sells Upass only through upassurine.com. We do not sell on Amazon or eBay, and we do not authorize third parties to relist our product there. That means marketplace listings using our name are, at best, resold stock of unknown age and, at worst, counterfeit fills in imitation boxes. Upass is sold in retail stores across the country. Check any retail box the same way: a genuine, current-production box has the lot number and expiration date printed next to the UPC.

The authenticity checklist

A genuine, current Upass kit has all of the following:

• A printed batch date on the box. This is the big one. Every batch we release is lab tested and stamped. No batch date means it did not come from us.
• The complete kit contents: 3oz premixed bottle, a temperature strip, an air-activated hand warmer, rubber band, and instructions. Counterfeits commonly skip the strip or the warmer.
• Current packaging: the Safeguard logo, "Research & Novelty Use Only" band, and 3 FL OZ (88.7 mL) marking as shown on our product pages.
• A realistic price. Genuine kits are $34.20 direct. A $15 "Upass" is not a bargain; it is a fill.

Why it matters

Counterfeit fills are unregulated liquid. They have no batch testing, no chemical specification, and no shelf-life control, and they fail in exactly the ways buyers complain about: wrong color, wrong smell, wrong readings, broken heat. If you think you bought a fake

Email a photo of the box, including where the batch date should be, to info@upassurine.com and tell us where you bought it. We track gray-market and counterfeit reports and act on them. Then get the real thing: the official store ships current-batch kits the same business day on orders placed by 3:00 PM PT Monday–Friday, securely packaged, with every kit traceable to its test record.
